Computers down, pens up. Another year of being a science high school student is ahead of me. It seems like yesterday when I first entered Cavite National Science High School and now, I'm a Junior in this institution. Every year, I have new sets of classmates and new sets of teachers. I survived the first two years so how will I not survive this one, right? It may seem cliche to expect the unexpected so I'll just get ready for the worse.

I'm still part of the Nitrogen class, the creme of the crop. As what is anticipated, teachers will expect a lot from this class and that means pressure. So to get through this year, I know that I have to deal with the tension. I have to study intently and meet their expectations. And of course, my extra curricular participations would be wasted if I don't get to be a part of the top ten students of the third year level.

Aside from the pressure I'm expecting, I look forward to gaining new friends. I have new classmates this school year. They may be familiar to me but I haven't spoken to most of them in the earlier years. I want to get to know them better. What could be more fun than having close relationships with my classmates? And besides, I love having friends.

These are only some of what I'm looking forward to. I am not sure about what is going to happen in the months that will pass. Worse things can't be avoided so I'll just have to live with that. However, I positively think that this would be my year. Call it absurd as you like but I know that if I just make the best of everything, I can have the best of anything.
