Think About It

We are stewards of God's beautiful creation so we don't have the right to destroy it. We are here to take care of it and improve it in any way that we can as long as it is not harmed. But what are we doing now? Are we making these creations better? Well, I guess not. But still, I know that there is hope. Our earth is not yet completely destroyed.

When asked the question, "How can you help in making the earth a better place?", what will most of us answer? By planting trees, right? But do we actually do it? Maybe to some, it's a yes, but generally, no. It's because we didn't answer to really make a difference. We answered just so that we'll have something to put on the blanks and get a check mark. And I admit that I think that way before. But ladies and gentlemen, let's rethink about the way we answer the question.

I know that everyone of us wants to have a wonderful place to live in so we must find a way to make it. The simplest thing is to start in our own home. A simple conservation of electricity will do. Closing the faucets when not in use is a good thing. Think about it. If everyone of us is doing the same thing, then a lot of energy and water can be conserved. I just remembered, my first year Science teacher once told me, "Think globally, act locally." It means that we should consider other people, not only ourselves. For example, you may think that one candy wrapper you threw somewhere won't be a big deal, but what if everyone in this world does it, right? There are millions, or even trillions of people here in earth. If we think that those people do the same thing as what we are doing, then our planet will be saved from harm.

You gotta let go of the past 'cause it just doesn't matter. What matters now is what you choose to be.
